“Shortly after we implemented Easy Projects, one of our designers was unexpectedly out of the office for a week.
After taking a look at his assignments in Easy Projects we were able to reallocate work so nothing fell through the cracks.
That is only one example out of many of how Easy Projects has helped our creative production workflow.”
Locally owned and operated, Lowes Foods is truly a homegrown company committed to bringing community back to the table by providing customers with the freshest and most innovative local products from local suppliers. The company maintains a strong focus on exceptional customer attention with services like Lowes Foods To Go personal shopping and gas rewards discounts. Lowes currently has over 100 stores in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
The marketing team at Lowes Foods needed a solution that would keep up with their workload, which covered 10 projects and 150 marketing requests from over 50 different stakeholders at any given time.
They were using a combination of surveys, emails, and Excel spreadsheets to manage the workload, but this was not proving effective at keeping up with the demand. Laura Goldstein, Director of Marketing for Lowes Foods, and her team had to contend with too many emails, and as a result things sometimes slipped through the cracks. Also, the system didn’t provide visibility on the status of jobs, and there was no way to assign requests based on workload.
Laura needed a better and easier way to manage all of their projects, and began looking at dedicated project management tools. She evaluated over ten PM software tools before deciding on Easy Projects. According to Laura, “Easy Projects is an intuitive product, offering customization at a great price. We have over 50 people who regularly request creative from us so the free guest licenses were key.”
Easy Projects’ web-hosted solution meant Laura didn’t need to get her IT department involved to set anything up on her company’s server. All she needed was the link and her password, and she was ready to go.
Easy Projects’ Implementation Program allowed for a smooth transition to the new system. If a team doesn’t learn the new system fast enough, it will be left behind by ongoing projects, and that increases the risk of it being marginalized in favor of the old system. According to Laura, “getting up and running quickly is a must to get teams engaged when changing over to a new system. Without the training, adoption would not have been as easy,” Laura said. “I highly recommend the Implementation Program. With everything else we had going on, Easy Projects Success Coach made getting started much easier.”
When asked if the new system made any improvements to their workflow and productivity, Laura shared this story: “Shortly after we implemented Easy Projects, one of our designers was unexpectedly out of the office for a week. After taking a look at his assignments in Easy Projects we were able to reallocate work so nothing fell through the cracks. That is only one example out of many of how Easy Projects has helped our creative production workflow.”
