Client Profile

Founded in 1994, Cybermark has been focused on helping businesses profitably grow using internet marketing. CyberMark International founder, Kimberly Judd-Pennie, started by educating businesses about the power of this new thing called “the internet”. Despite often being told that the internet was just a fad, the SEO optimized websites she was building were helping her clients grow. CyberMark continued to expand and introduced new services as the internet grew like search engine optimization, pay-per-click marketing, social media management and more.

The Challenge

Prior to Easy Projects we used a custom built system (PHP/MySQL), supplemented with spreadsheets and databases (Excel/Access/SQL). It was obviously fragmented and it lacked the features we needed and we had no time to build those features. We had many challenges, however time tracking was one of the major challenges we needed a solution for. In our business, we bill on an hourly rate so we needed a robust system that could handle over 400 projects and thousands of tasks.

The Solution

Our search for the best solution was long and arduous; we had trials for and seriously tested between 5-7 project management applications. After the evaluations we had several lists of pros and cons for each application we tested. This is where it became very clear that nothing was comparing to Easy Projects. Easy Projects was head and shoulders above the rest, as it had all the features we needed and more.

The Outcome

After 2 years using EasyProjects, it is now an integral part of CyberMark. We have found it to be highly customizable and versatile. Our time tracking was greatly improved; as previously billable hours were easily missed. Our customers are much happier now, since we utilize the Easy Projects API to build reports into our client web portal. It shows our clients what projects have been completed, the status of current projects and what projects are in the queue. We recently implemented one of our processes directly into Easy Projects. It eliminated a process that we ran through spreadsheets. We estimate that it will save us 1-2 hours per project just in set-up time. The customizable nature of Easy Projects is what really helped improve our workflow. It is highly adaptable. If an internal processes changes, we’re confident that Easy Projects will be able to adapt. If something doesn’t work for you right out of the box, 9 times out of 10 you will be able to make a few easy customizations to solve your issue.
