Easy Project Management
Using only a few clicks you will be able to see a complete picture of your project including resource allocation, completed and outstanding tasks, fixed and opened issues, status of customers' requests, employees/contractors timesheets and other valuable information. A variety of filters and sorting options will allow you to see certain tasks at a glance. Creating an activity and assigning it to a team member will take less than 30 seconds!
Multi-nested (hierarchical) Projects and Activities
Our system allows you to have an unlimited number of projects and activities with as many sub-levels of hierarchy as you need. You can split large tasks into small ones, assign deadlines and team members, specify estimated durations and activity categories. Be effective - eat the elephant bite by byte!
Employees/Contractors Timesheets
Do you want to know exactly how your project members spent their working time? Our easy-to-use timesheets will help you. Each team member will just select the project and task assigned to him, enter number of hours, specify the status of the task and voila! - you have all necessary data in real time.
Estimation Analysis
A truly unique feature that will help you to dramatically improve your team estimations. Every time you assign an activity to a person, Easy Projects .NET will analyze his/her estimation history. It will compare the original estimation time with the actual time spent on all activities. Based on this historical data, a coefficient will be calculated and a suggestion will be made how the estimated time for the current task should be adjusted.
Easily Customizable and Expandable
User interface, including colors and logo, can be customized according to your company policies and culture.
Custom fields can be added to the projects and any activity type. Unlike other commercial products, Easy Projects .NET offers an option of obtaining the source code package. Easy Projects .NET is built on the Microsoft .NET framework and Microsoft SQL Server. This means that the product can be easily modified to meet your business requirements or integrated into your existing system. If you don't have an internal IT Department or just need some help with the customization, the Easy Projects .NET team will be happy to assist you. Another option is to use Easy Projects .NET API. It is an interface for accessing your EP.NET data using the external applications. It works via HTTP/S and XML. The API allows you to easily integrate your desktop or web-based applications with Easy Projects .NET without touching the database or using EP.NET Source Code package. Multiple Built-in and Custom Roles
Easy Projects .NET uses a multi-level permissions system based on the user's role in a project. Each role has different access rights and can work only with the objects available to them. In addition, each role can be restricted to certain actions such as deleting the project or task, submitting a new request, assigning resources, etc...
Issue (defect) Tracking
Easy Projects .NET has a built-in Issue (defect) tracking system. You can use it for your internal issues tracking or for client support. Once a defect is submitted, it will be automatically converted to a task and assigned to a member of the team responsible for the project. You will be able to track how many hours were spent on bug fixing and compare actual times versus estimated.
Customer's Requests Tracking
Easy Projects .NET allows you to keep track of all customer requests. Either a customer or a project manager can submit these requests. All hours spent on the tasks that are out of the original specification scope will be logged separately and this data can be linked to your billing system.
Auto assign
This unique feature will speed up your team response time drastically. Once a new feature request or issue is submitted to your system by the customer, the request or issue will be automatically converted to a task and assigned to a specific team member, based on your preferences. As soon as the task is assigned it appears on the person's task list.
Project Milestones
You can add tasks to a milestone and then easily track its status using the Milestone report. You'll know immediately what has to be done in order for a milestone to be completed. You will also see the milestones on a Gantt chart.
Email Notifications
This feature will keep your team members updated in real-time and provide excellent communication within a team. Each user will be able to receive an email when the task or project he is working on is changed or assigned to him. Here is one possible scenario to demonstrate how this feature works:
Message boards
This is another useful tool that will facilitate project's team collaboration. You will be able to attach a discussion board to each of your project tasks. You can have as many topics as you need. This feature will help your team to improve communications and keep track of all discussions.
Files Upload
Easy Projects .NET allows attaching files to a project or a task. The files can include executables, source codes, documents, images, etc. Forget about searching through thousands of emails. Just open the project or task and see all relevant files.
Multiple Built-in and Ad-hoc Reports
Easy Projects .NET has a special Reports section. It provides you with set of ready-to-use reports showing all aspects of the project development process at a glance. You can view a summary for all projects, resource workloads, team member timesheets, estimated time vs. actual time and issue and request statistics. Flexible filters make it easy for you to see only the information relevant to you at that particular moment. In addition, since the Microsoft SQL Server is used as a database, you will be able to create custom reports using built-in Report Generator or any third party report engine such as Crystal Reports or Active Reports.
Billing Module
The Billing module allows you to specify individual rates for team members, tasks, customers and projects. You can also specify the fixed project cost, track expenses and payments.
The billing report provides you with the ability to retrieve detailed financial information on a project and use this data to either generate an invoice for your customers or for your accounting needs. Calendar
The Calendar function allows you to view your schedule month by month or get the detailed daily view. You can also create events and assign them to yourself and/or to your team mates.
If you are a supervisor or a project manager, you are able to view other people's schedules. Import / Export
Do you have your project data stored in MS Project? Now you can transfer it to Easy Projects .NET and back using our import/export functionality. In addition, tasks can be imported from MS Excel .CSV file.
Any built-in or custom report in Easy Projects .NET can be exported to MS Excel format. By exporting your Calendar data to the iCal you are able to synchronize Easy Projects .NET activities and events with your Outlook 2007 or Google calendars. Task Dependency
The Task Dependency feature enables you to specify standard relationships between tasks like "Finish-to-Start" or "Start-to-Start". It also allows you to specify whether project or task duration will be set manually or calculated automatically based on the duration of the "child" tasks.
So when one task duration or end date is changed, the project duration and end date will be changed automatically.
Possibility to accept new issues by e-mail
This feature allows your end-users or team members to submit issues by e-mail. A special web-service will retrieve e-mails from the POP3 mailbox and post them to Easy Projects .NET database according to the pre-defined rules.
Batch Operations
This feature allows to perform an action on multiple activities or projects. For example, you can quickly close several issues, assign or remove people, duplicate tasks, etc.
AJAX-based Interface
Easy Projects .NET is a Web 2.0 application based on AJAX on-demand technologies, which ensures that no matter how many projects and tasks are in the database, it doesn't affect the system unparalleled fast performance. An intuitive user experience similar to a desktop application is created by contextual menus, drag and drop functions and the spreadsheet mode.
