Hi Everyone,

One other example of using Parent tasks and sub-tasks is when there are lots of little sub-tasks which are too small to record time against, but are necessary to complete the parent task. The sub-tasks can be used as a check list to remind the person that all these sub-tasks are required, perhaps when doing maintenance type of work.

In this case the assignee is only assigned to the Parent task and not the sub-tasks, but can view all the sub-tasks as a reminder or check list of tasks to be completed. Time is then only booked against the parent task and not all the sub-tasks.
