Today we celebrate the release of our new major update, Version 8.0! What’s new, you say? Quite a bit, actually. Here is a list of some of the changes and updates:

PRO / Enterprise Editions

Easy Projects .NET is now available in 2 editions: PRO and Enterprise. While majority of the features and functions are shared between the two editions, the Enterprise version sports more advanced functionality such as the Critical Path method and enhanced security. Critical Path Method

The Enterprise edition of Version 8.0 introduces the Critical Path Method in Easy Projects .NET. This will greatly help you plan your project activities and determine how long a complex project might take. Here is an example of CPM in our Interactive Gantt Chart:

Client (Limited Access) Portal

In Version 8.0 (PRO and Enterprise), we’ve completely reworked how Limited Access users can login and track progress of their projects and activities. We created a brand new Client Portal, which sports a new interface and allows your limited access users to login and view the latest happenings on only the tasks and projects which they are a part of.

The new Client Portal also works great on the iPad!

Multiple Dependencies

In the Version 8.0, you can now specify multiple dependencies for all of your activities and edit them through a brand new interface:

Enhanced Security

The Enterprise edition of Version 8.0 also features a number of security improvements such as: password strength policy, lockouts, expirations and banned lists. System Administrators will be able to adjust these new security options in the Admin Settings of Easy Projects .NET
