User roles and permissions control access a user has to projects and activities within Easy Projects .NET. Built-in roles include Administrator, Project Manager, Customer representative, and Limited Access, but custom roles can be created at anytime.
Establish Permissions
Permissions can be default or adjusted for a specific user or project. For example a user with a 'QA' role can have "Write" permissions on one project, and "Read-Only" on another.
Global Permissions
Global permissions affect project for which a specific user is not a member of. For example, a user with the "Supervisor" role doesn't have to be added to every project since this role has an "Access all Projects" global permission.
User Roles
With the purpose of defining user permissions, Easy Projects .NET comes with 7 roles, of which 4 are built-in (can not be deleted or renamed), and 3 are predefined (can be changed). Of course, you can always create as many custom roles as needed.
