Tip of the Month Q: How can I easily compare the actual and the budgeted cost of a project? A: First, you need to add a custom field called "Budget" to a project. Specify your estimated project cost there. Then, go to the project list page and click the "Customize" link. On the new window, please add two fields to the list: "Budget" and "Current Cost". Save the field list. Now, the project table will display the budgeted and the actual cost for each project. Please note that the "Current Cost" field is calculated based on the project billing settings. I had a small glitch in setting up the software but EP.NET tech guys were able to resolve it fairly quick. It made us decide in favor of EP.NET instead of Microsoft Project as it allows other users (who are not that literate with computers) to use it easily and without any problems which is a big thing! Right now we have 12 users who are actively managing 38 projects with the help of EP.NET. The most important features for us are the bug submission and the request submission which is a BIG help! I would measure the benefits of using EP.NET are by 1000% BETTER than what I used before. The features that EP.NET has to offer are incredible and we will continue using this software for a long time! Keep it up the GREAT work!"
